David Carpenter

Being able to represent those scenes and subjects in life that I find interesting and beautiful is exciting for me. I’m drawn to botanical subjects and landscapes, particularly florals and gardens. Subjects of interest may also include geometric shapes, abstract patterns of light and shadow, the human form, and fish.

My art is my interpretation of the natural and built environments as I see them. It is not intended to advance political agendas or promote particular causes. Each of my drawings contains elements of challenge and experimentation to try to push my skills and abilities to new levels. I enter art contests and work with other artists to seek recognition for what I hope others will find inspiring.
